Iron Sword is a Swords in Dragon's Dogma. Swords are weapons commonly weirded by Fighters, Mystic Knights, and Assassins. They are a close-ranged weapon but with a better reach than daggers, as well as having a faster attack speed than longswords or warhammers. Sword wielders will often have a shield with them as well which enhances their defensive capabilities.
