Core Skills in Dragon's Dogma are Skills that are tied to specific Weapons. Dragon's Dogma features nine Vocations each with its own set of skills, any Vocation that can use the required Weapon for the Skill has access to it. Players must master the unique features of their chosen vocation while also learning how to coordinate with their pawns effectively, sharpening your core skills is critical for progressing through the game.

How to get Discipline Points

In order to purchase skills, you would need to get Discipline Points which are earned through killing enemies and completing quests. Discipline Points are normally given in generous amounts as the game encourages players to try the other vocations to experiment in which vocation class would suit the player.

How to spend Discipline Points

Players can go to Inns such as the Union Inn in Gran Soren to spend and manage their skills, augments, as well as changing vocations. Skills are shared through vocations as they are mainly tied to eapons so the player can think whether they would like to try a different vocation with the same set of skills.

How to re-spec in Dragon's Dogma

In Dragon's Dogma, once you spend your Discipline Points, getting refunds cannot be made. However, when you purchase a skill in one vocation, the same skill will be unlocked in other vocations. Since as mentioned, skills are tied to weapons, not vocations. Therefore, players can switch vocations given that the vocation uses the same skills.
