Weapon Skills in Dragon's Dogma are skills that are specific to certain vocations based on the weapons they use. Certain Weapon Skills can be shared between different Vocations that use the same weapon type. A character can equip up to six weapon skills, except for Warriors who can only equip up to three skills. Skills are essential components of Vocations that impact a character's combat and supportive abilities in combat. What Are Augments in Dragon's Dogma?

Augments are Vocation specific skills that can only be obtained by leveling up in certain vocations. These are passive abilities that enhance a player's stats and abilities and do not require activation after being equipped. Once unlocked, augments can be freely used and equipped across all vocations. In contrast to weapon and core skills, vocation-specific augments cannot be obtained through other means, such as purchasing or finding them in the world. How To Acquire Skills in Dragon's Dogma?

To obtain skills, you need to spend Discipline Points which can be earned by gaining experience from defeating enemies and finishing quests. The game awards Discipline Points generously, so players are encouraged to switch between vocations and playstyles, and freely experiment with skills during their playthrough.

Dagger skills involve more agile and acrobatic movements compared to sword or longsword skills, along with specialized evasion techniques. Short bows are a type of weapon crafted from a curved piece of wood or other flexible materials, connected at both ends by a string. They are commonly wielded by Striders and Assassins and are most effective at close range with their damage output decreasing considerably beyond mid-range. On the other hand, Longbows perform better in mid to long-range combat. Short bows are designed to be swift and effective ranged weapons, optimized for close-range damage while allowing for mobility. Their primary source of damage comes from arrows, which deal blunt damage. If used skillfully, Shortbows can be effective in targeting the weak spots of enemies such as their heads, eyes, and tails.
