The Warrior is a fairly easy Vocation in Dragon's Dogma. They have access to Longswords , Warhammers and the heaviest Armor in the game and can execute the highest melee burst damage and stun possible. This is an Advanced Vocation, meaning it only becomes available at the Gran Soren Union Inn. It's strong in melee situations and will need party assistance with range.

Quick Warrior Vocation Guide

  • Your Job
Warriors have the highest melee burst damage and stun of all the Vocations, meaning they level mobs in a few swings and easily stun those left standing. Their heavy armor makes them themselves nearly immune to stun compared to the other Vocations, which means they can hack away seemingly forever. As they lack shields, they are not as well suited to defensive roles as Fighters, and as they focus on burst attacks, their damage-per-second is quite low, meaning they are not the best suited to tackle on large enemies and bosses. For the purpose of taking down small, low-hp and easily stunned enemies, though, Warriors are engines of destruction.

  • Skill Overview
    • Longsword/Warhammer Skills: Their slew of offensive skills. Many are simply improved swings or slashes at different angles, though a few soak damage to perform counterattacks and other special techniques.
    • Core Skills: Passive skills that mainly improve their combat combos alongside a few tactical improvements.
    • Augments: Passive skills that can be set regardless of current Vocation.

  • Suggested Support
With their heavy wildly offensive style and tendency to power through hits, this class takes a lot of damage, though their heavy armor keeps this from usually getting to be too much of a problem. Thus, while a healer is very helpful, what they really need is a pawn to make up for their complete lack of any ranged capabilities; at least one pawn in a Warrior's party should be a Strider or Ranger.
