Pelta is a Shield in Dragon's Dogma. Shields are one of the many Equipment Categories available in Dragon's Dogma. These are basic defensive equipment wielded by Fighters and Assassins that allow them to Block incoming attacks and negate damage. Those who equip a shield will have access to a set of Shield Skills that can be added to further enhance the shield's capabilities. 

A smaller, lightweight shield that even those lacking in brawn can wield nimbly.
